Falmouth, Jamaica

Dotted with charming 19th century Georgian buildings, Falmouth is one of Jamaica’s most enchanting historic towns.  And it also makes a remarkable port of call.

The adventure begins the moment you step off the ship. Take a guided walking tour along the quaint streets of this community and admire one-of-a-kind British colonial architecture. Falmouth thrived for decades when Jamaica was the world’s leading sugar producer—now, this town of about 30,000 people is a vibrant destination for travelers. The Falmouth cruise port is a bustling hub of activity.

Although several small beaches are nearby, you may want to take a trip to the sun-drenched sands of Montego Bay instead (this city is just 18 miles from Falmouth). Or travel east to Ocho Rios, where you can cool off while hiking Dunn’s River Falls. But you don’t have to stray far from Falmouth to find something fascinating to experience.
